612 - Marketing Your Learning Programs

April 01, 2020
The Rosen Centre
Management and Strategy

Learning leaders, SMEs, instructional designers—they all put in countless hours preparing valuable learning programs but get little response. It's hard to prove value when getting enrollment requires so much effort. However, with some tips from the world of marketing, interest and engagement could increase.

In this session you'll learn how to use techniques practiced by marketers to raise awareness, increase conversions, and inspire repeat behaviors. You'll explore foundational marketing principles, such as the "7 touches," multi-channel marketing, personas, buyer's journeys, and more. Finally, you'll learn about lead scoring, lead nurturing, and how marketers use reporting to better allocate resources.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to use campaigns to promote awareness and conversion
  • Why personas are so important in the learner's journey
  • How to employ nurturing to increase enrollment, engagement, and reinforce knowledge transfer
  • How to interpret data to better allocate your development and (new) marketing resources

Audience:

Designers, developers, managers, senior leaders
