801 - BYOD: Memes & Scavenger Hunts: 10 Ways to Improve Your L&D Program on a Budget
Is your learning and development budget missing some zeros? This session is for you. Sadly, Oprah isn't going to attend and give everyone a new bank account. But you will get boatloads of budget-stretching ideas from your colleagues during this interactive session. You can still provide a great learning environment, even if you're running short on funds! P.S. If you love social and blended learning, you will definitely love this presentation.
Instructional design is often time consuming and expensive. But there are a lot of ways we can engage learners without spending money. There is a tremendous benefit in helping learners teach each other through social and collaborative learning techniques. We can use learning technology and the internet to meet learners where they are and provide educational experience they genuinely enjoy. It just takes a little imagination. In this session you will gain some practical tips on how to engage learners in the classroom or virtual classroom without spending money. You'll learn how to get help from departments outside of L&D (yes, you can make this happen!) Finally, you'll use learning technology to make your L&D team more efficient and be able to persuade leadership to give you more funding next year
In this session, you will learn:
- How to engage learners in the classroom or virtual classroom with little or no budget
- How to get help from beyond L&D
- How to use learning technology to make your L&D team more efficient
