STP204 - The Power of Process Mapping
You've met with your SME, or interviewed several of them. They each tell you something a little different from the others. Or you send the draft of your solution to the SMEs, only to be told they missed some steps and you'll need to add some more in. You thought you understood the work, but when you start solutioning, you realize there are gaps in your knowledge. Process mapping can address any and all of these situations.
Process maps are simple to create and the power they have to inform your solution decisions is hard to rival. They're also a great way to get your SMEs on the same page. You'll learn how to create basic process maps, then how to how to identify natural chunks for your content. You'll practice creating process maps that lead to solutions that target desired performance. Finally, you'll practice identifying areas for performance support, thereby avoiding unnecessary training.
