SXR201 - Integrating VR/AR into your Learning Management System (LMS)
We're going to have a look at technology that's already addressing the benefits of VR in a training environment, and we'll address some companies that are already tackling the possibilities of incorporating VR/AR with their training processes. We'll also explain what we can do with user xAPI data that can be collected from VR/AR simulations. What can we learn? How can the experience get better?
We will explore how VR/AR can enhance training experiences, shortening training time and raising safety levels. We will also address what you'll need to get started and how to navigate the next steps. Our session will explore how businesses can upgrade their training experiences through VR. Numerous companies, some that we've had the pleasure of working with, have seen substantial ROI increases by incorporating VR into their training processes.
Using VR to train new employees or refresh veteran employees has shown a sharp increase in company proficiency. Training new staff takes a fraction of the time it used to take. VR enables organizations to train multiple employees on equipment simultaneously, decreasing the down time of equipment and manpower of training new hires. With fewer resources needed for training, the costs of training employees goes down.
Additionally, employees don't need to learn on hazardous machinery anymore. They can practice the motions of using the machines in a safe, VR simulation. Using xAPI, the simulation can assess how well the employee completes the task, how proficient they are at doing it, and if they made any risky mistakes while doing so.
Our panel will go through real-life examples and use cases. We'll also address current, helpful technology, and technology that's up and coming.
In this session, you will learn:
- How VR/AR can upgrade the training experience
- How VR/AR can reduce time training employees and increase proficiency
- How VR/AR can decrease your organization's training costs
- How VR/AR can make training safer and more ejoyable
