The learning experience design process is often complex and ripe with opportunities for stakeholder miscommunication and confusion. For example, subject matter experts and other project collaborators often come from diverse backgrounds with different experiences. This can make communication challenging, which can result in development delays, frustration, and lacking results.
This session will help you streamline communication and enhance creative outcomes for learning experience design projects using visual planning and collaboration tools. Visual learning experience design tools help project collaborators create, focus, and launch ideas more efficiently while minimizing common points of frustration. First, you will learn to use the Learner Snapshot Canvas, which helps identify the goals, struggles, value propositions, and prior experiences of prospective learners. This tool helps design teams create learner personas that can be used to inform design decisions. Next, you will learn about the Focus Board. This tool helps design teams organize key elements that need to be included in learning experiences. These experiences can range from live webinars, mobile apps, game-based learning tools, and everything in between. Finally, you will learn about the Learning Environment Modeling Language as a toolkit for designing learning experience blueprints. These blueprints can be used for creating learning strategies and facilitating collaboration with multiple project contributors. From understanding learners, crafting a vision, determining learning strategies, leveraging technologies, and effectively aligning content; visual planning and collaboration tools can help you create effective learning experiences that are otherwise difficult to achieve.
In this session, you will learn:
