The expectations of learners and their learning have drastically changed just over the past few years. Learning opportunities and answers to questions need to be available at the touch of a phone. Chat bots can be an effective solution for this. Think of just in time (JIT) training being delivered via your chat bot utilizing multiple learning strategies and techniques. You can reach more learners exactly when they need the learning and do it in ways that are most effective for the individual learner.

In this session you will develop and deploy a simple chat bot to create a learning experience. You will utilize free software to build a bot from scratch. There are templates you can use but what is the fun in that? You will also learn the science behind the types of learning opportunities you place in the bot. These are excellent for JIT training opportunities. The bots can be deployed as standalone or within an LMS. Imagine with me for a moment… a person scans a QR code for a process or some type of training and up pops a bot with the JIT training.‬‬
